Diet affects health directly, although other elements of lifestyle are also important, diet affects you in every way. Diet of course affects your weight and therefore fitness, poor diet means you may have too many calories or calories at the wrong time of day. Also though if you don’t have enough ready energy from complex carbohydrates you will often feel you have no energy meaning you are less likely to do exercise and as such more likely to have excess weight. Diet also affects your immune system, processed foods and foods with artificial additives often have to be destroyed by white blood cell using them up and killing them off. Other foods can boost your immune system including those high in Iron and in Vitamin C, a healthy immune system will stop you getting ill and run down and make you feel better overall. Diet is also key in how it makes you feel, as mentioning not enough energy can make you not want to exercise but some foods can actually make you feel very sluggish and tired. Alcohol of course does this and too much can effect you long tem making you feel tired and run down. Surprisingly caffeine can do the same if you become addicted to it and then need it just to keep you going eventually. Also foods that are difficult to digest, often processed foods, can make you feel unwell. If you have allergies or intolerances this is another reason to avoid certain foods but many people who do often feel unwell or have other health problems don’t realize it is an allergy and doctors often don’t consider the option as they should. You may want to try cutting out certain foods such as gluten or dairy to see if these help the way you feel.

You may have heard of brain food before, the food needs certain food and certain vitamins and minerals to work as well as it can. Foods including oily fish and also vitamin supplements and fruit and vegetables may boost your mind and allow you to get more done.

There is a lot that makes up a healthy lifestyle, and often you need all elements to be healthy. A healthy diet will only get you so far if you don’t exercise for example.

It is true that food and exercise are the most important parts of a healthy lifestyle but there is more and the amount of exercise and types of food you should eat may not be what you think.

With food when you eat is important as well as what you eat, for example don’t eat just before sleeping, especially carbohydrates. Carbohydrates though before exercise will allow you to get the most out of exercise which means that you will in fact burn more calories and improve muscle tone more too, especially with complex carbohydrates that slowly release energy. You need food for energy to help you complex tasks but not just exercise, you need brain food as well and this includes carbohydrates and protein but also a wide variety of vitamins and minerals to make sure you are getting the most out of your brain. Omega 3 in things such as fish oil is particularly good for the brain and fish in your diet at least once a week is a good idea.

With exercise what you do depends on what you want to achieve, there is more than just being a healthy weight and not all exercise burns calories efficiently. Low intensity workouts such as cycling and jogging may be best for burning excess fat as it takes the body time to access this energy. Higher intensity exercise is better for improve the fitness of your heart and lungs and also muscles’ fast twitch fibers. Lower intensity longer exercise is better for building up your endurance. It is important to remember that part of a healthy lifestyle is also a healthy mind, exercise can help with this and it release endorphins but also make sure you get a good work life balance and do things you enjoy every day.

Good health is found to be friendly with prayers, water, and regular exercise. These three habits have the capacity to transform our lives and introduce a new sense of harmony and liveliness. Here is what else we need to do to have a healthy day, hence life.

Never miss your breakfast. It is important to have a healthy breakfast to nourish our bodies and influence the metabolism. Try having nutritious food rich in protein, complex carbohydrates and fiber, low in sugar and fat. Do not give up sugar and fat completely, but keep a check on your calories intake and consult a dietician for your specific needs. Consider choosing from milk, eggs, whole grains, smoothies, vegetables, nuts, and fruits. Do not drink water after one hour of having your meals. If needed, have a sip but not more. Remember that health comprises of not only your physical endeavors, but on a mental level too. Try to keep yourself mentally calm and let not tension, stress and depression enter your life. You must think positive, meditate and be peaceful and loving. It is advisable to take a short break in every few hours to relax your mind. Take deep breaths and be at peace. This habit would protect you against prospective troubles like anxiety, migraine, blood pressure, heart trouble, and their repercussions. In addition, you will notice a glow on your face and attract many good things in life. You may also imbibe a healthy habit of smiling as it is found to be very beneficial on a psychological level. On a physical level too, smiling is helpful in exercising the face and contributes in making you look younger.
